The journey to their triumph was marked by an unbeaten run, culminating in a thrilling final where they secured a 2-1 win against Phoenix Queens in a penalty shootout.
Speaking exclusively about their victory, Coach Jaiyeola extended his gratitude to God Almighty and acknowledged the unwavering support of their Chairman, Prince Kazeem Eletu.
He emphasized that the team, which is just a month old, showed exceptional dedication, resulting in their outstanding performance.
He was particularly thrilled that the hard work and training had made a tangible impact, leading them to become the champions of the 2023 Girl Child tournament.
“I feel so excited. First of all, I give all Glory to God Almighty and also express gratitude to our Chairman, Prince Kazeem Eletu because he has always been supportive. I feel happy because these girls are just a month old.
They are a new team and this is their first outing. I am really happy because the hard work, training, and every other aspect of football really show.
All that I taught them on the field of play during training shows in them, and I am happy that we are the champions of this 2023 Girl Child tournament.” Coach Jaiyeola said in an exclusive interview.

Responding to questions about the club’s training methodologies and player welfare, he credited his role as coach and the club’s chairman for the strong support provided.
Despite being an amateur team, the club places a significant emphasis on player welfare and ensures that they receive the best care and training in the fundamentals of football.
Coach Jaiyeola expressed his gratitude to the tournament organizers for creating an opportunity not only for playing football but also for imparting valuable knowledge to the participating girls, including insights on drug abuse and education. He praised the organizers and all supporters for their contributions to the program.
When asked about the team’s future plans, Coach Jaiyeola revealed that they would participate in the Chiegine Cup in Delta State in December, aiming to defend their title as champions from the previous edition.
In offering advice to fellow football coaches, coach Jaiyeola who is also the president of the female football academy proprietors in Lagos State encouraged perseverance and hard work, emphasizing that success in football is an ongoing journey and that, in this game, today’s loss can become tomorrow’s victory.
