KANO PILLARS REMAIN FOCUSED— NWAGUA

Kano Pillars football club striker, Nyima Nwagua has assured Sai Masu gida fans that the club is focused and better days lie ahead after a week 2 NPFL match which they lost to Elkanemi warriors of Maiduguri by 2-1.

 

The attacker in his words ‘ we are well prepared to keep forging ahead despite the lost and it was a well fought match

He said that though the better side won but they are going back home to prepare for their next game to garner points to keep them going.”

The Rivers state born player also had positive words for the fans of the club ‘ myself and my teammates know what is ahead of us and we are committed to achieving our aims for the season.” He also gave thumbs up to the management of the club for their immense support.

The player who was instrumental to the club third place finish in the league and runners up in the Aiteo cup after dramatical 3-3 draw that they eventually lost via penalty to Enugu Rangers football in Asaba, his combination with striker Junior Lokosa last season was instrumental to the results they recorded. He said even though the departure of his striking partner, Junior Lokosa to greener pastures they are still positive the club will move on ‘ Honestly I will feel his absence because we both played together last season his absence will not affect our target this season. Football is a team work and we must move on as a team.”

Kano pillars football club will be home this weekend to host Akwa United of uyo in the week 3 of NPFL abridged league.
