Joy Joseph: Lone Dele Alampasu Football Academy Female Coach Living Up To Expectations

Joy Joseph is the only female coach in the Dele Alampasu Football Academy set up and even more astounding is her success on and off the pitch without a professional playing career and also a new entry into football coaching line, Sports247.ng writes.

Joy is in charge of the U-10, U-8, U-13 boys and she has done tremendously well in developing their game as well as being a good mother to them.

Revealing why she is in charge of the little boys, she explained, “for now, we don’t have much of the female players so we are still expecting that when they come, we will be able to make the necessary managerial change if need be.”

“I didn’t play professionally but I did represented Abia State in different competitions back then, school competitions and it has helped my transition into full-time coaching”, she explained.

“It’s not easy with the younger boys but it’s the business we are into hence we are not tired of controlling them or talking to them. I’m at my happiest whenever I’m around them.”

“For now they are trying their best and that’s why we are here to train them and make sure that they will be better tomorrow.”

“Not much challenge but the senior coach has been trying a lot for us to make sure that our jerseys are always available for the players and for the financial aspect, God has really helped us.”

“We are looking out for them to be the best players and also standout in all their endeavors in the future and the head coach made pastors available every Wednesday to come and pray for us and we believe that God will see us through,” she concluded.
