Despite the disappointing outcome, Ibrahim acknowledged that his team had performed well, demonstrating dominance throughout the match. However, their efforts were marred by conceding what he termed as “silly” goals in a candid interview with Sports 247.
“The match we just played today, it wasn’t the result we wanted, but we played well, we dominated the game but ended up conceding three silly goals,” Ibrahim explained.
“It was very cheap goals we conceded but we had a very wonderful game. We played a good game but it was not the result we wanted.”
Ibrahim elaborated on why he considered these goals “cheap,” attributing them to defensive and goalkeeper errors. He recognized that it was a day when things simply didn’t go their way.

Optimism still prevails in the Lekki United camp. Looking ahead to the next game, Ibrahim expressed confidence in his team’s ability to improve and achieve better results.
“In the next game, we’ll try to improve more and get a better result. I am optimistic,” he affirmed.
When questioned about their strategy for the upcoming match, Ibrahim emphasized the importance of self-correction. The team plans to analyze their performance, address weaknesses, and undergo rigorous practice sessions to emerge stronger and more prepared for the challenges ahead.
