The Ikeja DFA Super 4 witnessed an emotional Coach Saint Austine as he shared his thoughts after Shuffle Select Academy’s 3-1 loss to Bucknor FC.

Coach Saint Austine, in an interview with Sports247, gracefully accepted the outcome, acknowledging that football encompasses both victory and defeat.
Reflecting on the final match, Coach Saint Austine commented, “Not really painful, it’s part of football. Football is all about winning and losing. We gave our best, and we fought hard the way we were supposed to, but the chances were not just coming, and the officiation was also poor, very poor.”
Despite the challenges faced during the game, Coach Saint Austine commended the opposing team, saying, “Kudos to the guys who took the three points because we were both ready to get the points. We both fought hard, but unluckily for us, it went their way, so kudos to them.”
Regarding his team’s ambitions at the beginning of the tournament, he affirmed, “Yes! Even those that did not qualify for the Super 4, their plan was to win. Kudos to us, we made it to the Super 4 and played till the final. We have gotten what we want and are proud to be where we are.”
Looking ahead, Coach Saint Austine revealed, “We have plans for every one of the players. We know what we want and know how to achieve it, and then we work towards it to achieve it.”
