The head coach of Nigeria’s senior men’s cricket team, Steve Tikolo, has expressed the team’s readiness to compete and secure qualification for the 2024 T20 World Cup qualifier.
Nigeria earned their spot in the qualifier after topping their phase of the qualifier last year.
The Nigerian cricket squad, known as the Yellow Greens, has been diligently preparing for the upcoming qualifier scheduled for November this year in Namibia. Despite facing challenges in arranging high-quality warm-up matches, Coach Tikolo remains optimistic about their prospects.

Despite these setbacks, the team is focused on securing practice matches against strong opposition to fine-tune their preparations.
Tikolo emphasized the importance of match practice and revealed plans to either host teams in Nigeria for matches or travel to play against other countries. These practice matches will provide valuable opportunities for the team to assess their readiness and make necessary adjustments.
