The Honourable Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh on Wednesday embarked on an official/stakeholders’ engagement visit to the Honourable Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Engr. Abubakar Momoh, in Abuja.

The visit was geared towards building inter-ministerial relationships, information-gathering, understanding stakeholder concerns, assessing stakeholder capacity, and establishing open lines of communication.
The meeting provided a common ground for both ministers to reiterate their commitment to shaping policy priorities while fostering collaborations between both ministries on national issues within the ambit of their responsibilities.
Both ministries will engage to align developmental objectives for the Niger Delta region as it relates to sports development, especially at the grassroots level.
Speaking during the meeting, Senator Enoh stated that they are a lot of talents littered around the Niger Delta region unattended to, just as in other regions of the nation.

Therefore, both ministries must foster a collaborative relationship to pull off programmes that will unearth these talents, and nurture and grow them into the elite competitors.
He added that the ministry will ensure untapped talents across all regions in the nation are given the platform to express themselves and fulfil their potential.
