The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially announced the appointment of Honourable Gbenga Elegbeleye, Chairman of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), as the Second Vice President of the organization.
This significant development occurred as Elegbeleye assumed the role of the NPFL Chairman, automatically filling the vacant position of Second Vice President.
The NFF confirmed this appointment through an official communique released on Monday, underscoring the integration of various league chairpersons into the NFF Board. These leagues include the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), the Nigeria National League (NNL), the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL), and the Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO). It is expected that these league representatives will collaborate diligently with their respective members to elevate Nigerian football to new heights.
Rising from their inaugural Board Member meeting held on Sunday, the NFF welcomed the league chairpersons into their ranks. In addition to Honourable Gbenga Elegbeleye’s appointment as Second Vice President, the other league representatives joining the NFF Board are Ms. Nkechi Nneka Obi (NWFL), His Excellency Ali Silas Agara (NLO), and Mr. George Aluo (NNL).
