New signing Victor Boniface has got off to a flying start, not only is he currently in the vote as Rookie of the Month for August, but he has now been nominated as August Player of the Month.

The German Football League (DFL) named the three nominees for the title of Bundesliga Rookie of the Month for August on Monday with the Nigerian striker who is currently on international duty with his country also one of the three players nominated.
The Werkself number 22 has been nominated alongside goalkeeper Noah Atubolu (SC Freiburg) and Xavi Simons (RB Leipzig) for the Bundesliga Rookie of the Month vote.
Today, the video games manufacturer Electronic Arts (EA) together with the German Football League (DFL) have announced the six nominations for the vote for Bundesliga Player of the Month for August – including Werkself player Victor Boniface.
The other nominees alongside Boniface are Alphonso Davies, Harry Kane (both FC Bayern), Jonas Wind (VfL Wolfsburg), Kevin Behrens (Union Berlin) and Benjamin Henrichs (RB Leipzig).
The result is determined as follows: 40% of the votes come from the fans with 30% each for the 18 team captains plus a group of pundits.
Victor Boniface joined Bayer 04 in the summer from Belgian club Union Saint-Gilloise and the 22-year-old has already scored five goals and provided two assists in his four games for Werkself so far.
