As the battle for WAFU B qualifiers for the CAF Women Champions League enters the semifinal stage in Benin, the Deputy Governor of Edo state Rt Hon Comrade Philip Shaibu has promised to offer Delta Queens players a million Naira per goal in the first semifinal match against Athletico of Ivory Coast.

Comrade Shaibu who just returned from his annual leave holiday in the USA made the pledge while addressing Nigeria’s representatives in the dressing room at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium shortly before kick-off.

The sports-loving Edo Deputy Governor in his usual display of patriotism is supporting Delta Queens as he went to the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium dressed in Delta Queens colour.
He told the team that Benin is home to Delta Queens and will get one hundred percent support
He charged them to beat their opponents and pick the ticket to the Champions League.
