Chelsea youth team player, Faustino Anjorin has been rated among a handful of young players who could move out of England in the summer, as he seeks better playing time outside Stamford Bridge.
Sports247.ng gathered that Anjorin, who was named after Colombian legend, Faustino Asprilla, has seen his stock shoot up in recent months and it is believed his talent is good enough for a club in central Europe.
Although nothing concrete has been said about his potentials outside England, the word out is that Anjorin could follow the example of former Manchester City kid, Jadon Sancho, who is now soaring in Germany.
Though Anjorin has made great progress at Stamford Bridge, where he started the season in the under-18 team but has been promoted to their under-23 squad, he is not close to breaking into Chelsea’s first team.
Anjorin got his first professional contract in November, a three-year deal that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2021, shortly after he celebrated his 17th birthday.
Born in Poole, on England’s south coast, Anjorin was discovered at a young age and Chelsea beat other London clubs to his signature at age seven, after which he has grown into a very promising midfielder.
Interesting news for the Super Eagles is that Anjorin, who has a Nigerian father and English mother, says he was inspired to join Chelsea ten years ago because of the presence of John Mikel Obi at the club.
