The Permanent Secretary, Nasarawa State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Chief Barr. Isaac Danladi, was presented with a congratulatory plaque by one of the fastest rising football clubs in Nigeria, JAF Sport Global Ventures Limited.
At a special event held at the Board Room of the Ministry on Tuesday, Team Manager of JAF Sport Global Ventures Limited and former player of Nasarawa United FC, Michael Anyanya, told Danladi that they were at the Ministry to felicitate with him on his appointment as Permanent Secretary and to rally round him to succeed in his new office.
Anyanya said the history of sports cannot be completed in Nasarawa State without making reference to the Permanent Secretary whose wealth of experience has brought tremendous success to the industry in the State and beyond.
He recalled the fond memories he shared with the Permanent Secretary during his playing days at Nasarawa United FC, adding that they were never in doubt in the ability of the Permanent Secretary to deliver on the mandate as his best was yet to be felt in the society.
In collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer of JAF Sport Global Ventures Limited, Favour Joshua Ani, the Team Manager presented a plague, a pair of branded jersey of the Club and other items to the Permanent Secretary in appreciation of his enormous contributions to the team, youth and sports, generally.
Shocked by the gesture of the guests, the Permanent Secretary, said it was a historic day for him.
“What you have done is quite uncommon. It’s difficult for a visitor to come to your house with food along for you.
“This is an exceptional show of love and I’m really wowed by it.”
He appreciated them for coming to felicitate with him and the Ministry, and noted that the gesture would linger in his heart.
Danladi who expressed gratitude to Governor Abdullahi Sule for graciously appointing and posting him to the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development as Permanent Secretary assured that Government would synergize with JAF Sport Global Ventures to form the nucleus of most of the players to play for the State-owned football club, Nasarawa United.
The Club also used the visit to honour Comr. Hamza Moyi Awe, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Abdullahi Sule on Sports Affairs, for his contributions toward sports development in the State.
JAF Sport Global Ventures is a football Organisation with headquarters in Lafia, the Nasarawa State Capital.
Directors of the Ministry and SSA to Governor Abdullahi Sule on Sports Affairs joined the Permanent Secretary in receiving the visiting delegation.
