Ibrahim Basirat, a dedicated member of the Fit Mum Foundation for the past two years, has not only been an integral part of the organization but also served as the team captain for the Great and Mighty team in the recently concluded inter-group sports competition, where they emerged as second place winners.
In an interview with Sports247, Basirat shared her thoughts on the team’s journey and her Fit Mum experience.
Expressing her gratitude, Basirat said, “Thanks to Almighty Allah, we were well-prepared for the competition. We faced challenges with organizing the march past, but we sought guidance from someone in the boys scout who kindly assisted us, teaching us how to march and organize ourselves effectively.”
Despite being comprised of busy women, Basirat praised her group members for their commitment, both financially and morally, to the team’s success. “They all made time out of their busy schedules and attended practice sessions twice a week. Out of the 20 members in our group, at least 10 to 15 members showed up consistently, which was truly impressive,” she added.
Reflecting on her experience with the Fit Mum Foundation, Basirat highlighted the numerous benefits she has gained from being a part of the community. “Participating in sports activities every Saturday has kept me fit, and being an exco member keeps me occupied and diverts my mind from excessive thinking. We have grown together as a close-knit family, facing our challenges, and yet today, we are here successfully organizing this event,” she said.
Looking forward to the future, Basirat expressed her aspirations for the Fit Mum Foundation, saying, “We aim for more progress and to achieve all our goals. I eagerly anticipate FIT MUM being recognized nationwide and receiving more recognition for its remarkable initiatives.”
As Ibrahim Basirat and the entire Fit Mum community continue their journey of growth and empowerment, their dedication and passion pave the way for even greater success and impact in the days to come.
