Rivers United Football Club has signed and unveiled new players ahead of the 2023/2024 season.

The Pride of Rivers secured the services of players from different professional clubs within and outside the shores of the country.
The players include the duo of Asiegbu Shedrack and Akubueze John Uche, who joined from Rangers Int’l; Fatai Abdullahi and Adeleke Adekunle David from Enyimba FC; Yao Kouassi Bernard (CIV) from TS Galaxy South Africa; Antwi Samuel Adom from King Faisal FC Ghana; Echeta Deputy (Bendel Insurance); and Ebedebiri Endurance (Bayelsa United).
The unveiling ceremony which was held on Wednesday at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port Harcourt had in attendance Commissioner for Sports in the State, Barr. Chris Green, General Manager of Rivers United, Dr. Okey Kpalukwu, Technical Manager Stanley Eguma, and members of the Rivers United Supporters Club led by Caretaker Chairman, Mr. Otis Asonye.
Dr. Kpalukwu, who welcomed the players on behalf of the management, charged them to lead the team to glory in both domestic and continental competitions.
Echeta Deputy, who spoke on why he signed for the Pride of Rivers said, “I signed for Rivers United to win trophies. I have not come here just to play.”
The club will compete for honors in the forthcoming season in the Federation Cup, Nigeria Premier Football League, and the CAF Confederations Cup.
