U-21 Volleyball Championship : Ndukauba Dedicates Trophy To Engr Nimrod

Captain of Nigeria U-21 women’s volleyball team, Kelechi Ndukauba has dedicated the victory to the President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) Engineer Musa Nimrod.

Nigeria won the 2023 African U-21 Nations Volleyball Championship Zone 3 in Niamey, Niger Republic on Sunday.

Ndukauba said Engineer Musa Nimrod is one of the biggest supporters of the team and has invested hugely in the success of the team.

She revealed that the 2nd Vice President of NVBF, Comptroller of Nigeria Immigrations, Nkechi Ezugwu; South West Zonal Representative on the board, Prince Babatunde Omisore and a host of others motivated the team during their camping exercise.

The Nigeria Customs Service player said, “This success we are celebrating today would not have been possible if not for the huge contribution of the President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Engineer Musa Nimrod.

“Engineer Nimrod is our biggest supporter, he played a huge role in our attendance at the zone 3 African U-21 Nations Volleyball Championship in Niamey. The players are dedicating the trophy to the President, Engineer Musa Nimrod for bankrolling the team.

“We also go support from our mother, Comptroller of Nigeria Immigrations, Nkechi Ezugwu; Prince Babatunde Omisore, Bolicit Amakiri, Ex International, Edosa Aye and a host of others. The team promise to continue being good ambassador of the country at any International Championship.”

Ndukauba noted the Zone 3 African U-21 Nations Volleyball Championship has put the players in good shape ahead of the 2023 FIVB U-19 Girls World Championship in Croatia and Hungary next August.

She said, “The President insisted Nigeria attended the Zone 3 Nations Championship to serve as training tour ahead of the World Championship. Few players will resume camp immediately while others wil be participating in the Nigeria Volleyball Premier League which begins on 12th July in Abuja.
