Some Management and Staff of the Nasarawa State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, on Friday, converged to celebrate the Permanent Secretary of the Organisation, Chief Barr. Isaac Danladi, on the occasion of his 58th birthday.

The surprise birthday celebration took place inside the office of the Permanent Secretary in Lafia.
Unaware of the birthday party, the Permanent Secretary, in his usual characteristics, was reporting to his duty post only to be greeted by a large “Happy Birthday” chorus and musical razzmatazz from the Management and Staff to his dismay.
Two beautifully designed birthday cakes and bottles of non-alcoholic wines were presented to the Permanent Secretary with eulogies pouring in from the Director of Administration and Supplies, Mustapha Isa, on behalf of the organizers, as part of the anniversary packages.
“Indeed, these are tough times, so, a few of us, namely, myself, Lawrence Shammah (Director of Sports Organizing); Zabe Munyuren; the PRO, Eche Amos; our cashier, Innocent Ossan; Madam Promise Ovye; Madam Patricia Oshuwayine; Ms. Felicia Obile Allu and Miss Patience Audu, decided to come together to give you a surprise birthday party while inviting other Management members and staff to join in the celebration.
“You have been preaching love, forgiveness, and peaceful co-existence to one another since you assumed office here, and we have to demonstrate that by this gesture.
“As we promised you before, this is the change we want to see in the Ministry. Your coming has changed our mentality.
“So, on behalf of the entire Management and Staff of the Ministry, we wish you more beautiful and prosperous years ahead in sound health and vitality.”
The awe-struck Danladi expressed gratitude to the organizers, Management, and Staff of the Ministry for the treat.
“Honestly, I am short of words; I am flabbergasted and bamboozled by what I am seeing.
“I never expected this at all. I have put in almost 33 years of service, but this is the first time that colleagues are celebrating my birthday.
“I wish I had prior knowledge of what is going to happen, I would have come with my family members, but incidentally, this is meant to be a surprise package.
“I feel highly honored, and loved, and this is a clear testament that all of us are ready to work.
“In my leadership, every staff must be carried along. That’s the spirit of togetherness.
“I came here with a clear vision of how to turn things around within the shortest period I will be in service. In all honesty, within the short period I have been here, I have enjoyed a fantastic working relationship with everyone.
“What you have done today means you take me in high esteem.
“I will replicate this gesture by loving you more and supporting you more.
“For those who came together to package this for me, and the wisdom behind this great treat, may God reward you most abundantly.
“Wherever you sourced the resources for this party, may God replenish them accordingly.
“Let’s continue to work together for the benefit of our beloved State.”
It’s the first time the Ministry would be feting a birthday party for a serving Permanent Secretary.
