Led by the Nigerian Olympic Committee’s (NOC) public relations officer, Tony Nezianya, the team’s outstanding performance marks a significant improvement over their previous outing in Cape Verde, where they secured only one gold medal and finished seventh in the medal table.

Beach wrestling proved to be a shining moment for Nigeria as Blessing Oborodudu (C) clinched a gold medal in Tunisia, asserting her dominance in the sport. Moreover, history was made when Oluwadamilola Oyedepo and Kayode Samuel became Nigeria’s first-ever gold medalists in the Badminton Mixed Doubles competition, solidifying their place in Nigerian sporting folklore.
In the Men’s Triple event, Simeon Akinsola and Sunday Chibuzo displayed exceptional skills, securing gold medals and adding to Nigeria’s growing medal tally. Additionally, the Nigerian athletes dominated the captivating sport of Teqball, impressing spectators with their remarkable technique and agility, ultimately capturing a gold and two silver medals.
