NNL Super 8: Shooting Stars bounce back with deserved win

Wounded Shooting Stars showed recovery after their 3-0 humiliating defeat to Remo Stars as they humbled Delta Force 2-0 in the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 on Monday afternoon.

Stars Head Coach Edith Agoye opted for a new formation, 4-2-1-3, which allowed the side to display some free-flowing football.

Shooting Stars skipper Ayobami Junior and Opeoluwa Oluwafemi scored a goal each for the Oluyole Warriors in the NNL Super 8 matchday 2 fixture at the Enyimba International Stadium.

It was a goalless opening 55 minutes in Aba as both sides wasted easy chances.

Junior drew the curtain raiser in the 56th minute. He controlled Muritala’s cut back and fired home on the turn, in off the post.

The maximum points was made safe by Oluwafemi who got the goal his performance deserved in the 90th minute.
