“Hard work pays.” That was how the Chairman of Bashlyks Sports Academy, Chief Goodfaith Chibuzo Etuemena a.k.a. Bash described the victory of Insurance Football Club of Benin in the FA Cup final played on Wednesday at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba.
Bash who doubles as the CEO of Bashlyks Sports House And Event Center; an Owerri-based sports recreational outfit; credited the victory by the ‘Bini Arsenals’ to the hard work and tenacity of the people of Edo State demonstrated through the Government and in fact, the perseverance of the Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Phillip Shuaibu.
It would be recalled that Insurance in a grueling encounter on Wednesday defeated highly rated Rangers International of Enugu 1-0 to lift the 2023 Nigerian Federation Cup.
In his Facebook review of the competition, Bash who is a former Chairman of Heartland Football Club of Owerri said the ‘god of soccer’ may have considered among other things, the hard work, commitment, and passion of the Edo people through the deputy governor, in making sure that Insurance triumphed.
” The resurgence of Insurance did not come to me as a surprise neither does their FA Cup victory. The fact is that they have really worked for it and they deserve the victory,” Bash stated.
Bash said the passion and commitment of the Edo Deputy Governor, Shuaibu was a major factor that brought victory to the side.
” It’s important to congratulate the Deputy Governor, Mr. Shuaibu for this achievement. It’s not only for the Edo people but for all football followers in this country. Mr. Shuaibu has proven that in Nigeria, hard work pays,” Bash stated.
