A professional football player for England who has Nigerian roots, Bukayo Saka is currently in Lagos, the largest city in Nigeria. Saka, who is 21 years old, arrived in Lagos on May 31, 2023, after a tiring Premier League season in 2022-2023.
Even though he grew up in the UK, Saka, who is a Nigerian immigrant, chose to represent England instead of the Super Eagles.
After his arrival, Saka took a stroll around Lagos, visiting Bariga, Lagos. On June 3rd, the footballer met with Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the two-term governor of Lagos State, which quickly went viral online.
Sources say that Saka will leave Lagos for Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, to meet with the newly elected President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. However, Saka’s representatives or the Presidency have not yet confirmed the meeting.
