Nigeria international, Peter Olayinka will be leaving Czech republic club, Slavia Prague at the end of the current season, it has been confirmed with the player paying an emotional tribute to the club after they won the Czech Cup.

Peter Olayinka is leaving Slavia after 5 seasons. He made 182 caps, scored 50 goals, made 26 assists and lifted 7 trophies – Czech league titles, Czech Cups and the Czecho-Slovak Supercup. He became a leader, a driving force, a captain.
In his emotional tribute to the club, Olayinka wrote on his official Twitter account;
“THANK YOU JESUS for the years i have spent at Slavia Praha and in the City of Prague has possibly been amongst the best parts of my life.”
“I feel really grateful to become part of the history of the club.
Every achievement I have been part of in my time at Slavia holds a special memory.”
“I want to give an infinte thanks to our amazing fans, who have supported me endlessly over the years.”
“The chant of “Olie; Olayinka” is something I will live never to forget.
Difficult to find the right words for this. I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
“The club, coaches, management, staffs, my teammates and the amazing fans, I say a big THANK YOU,” the statement read.
The club also celebrated the striker who won seven trophies for his team having played for 5 seasons, scoring 50 goals in the process, 26 assists, 7 trophies – the trophy consists of 83 layers, each of them different according to how important the moment was for Peter and for the club.
He was presented with the Olayincup which was designed with a special software shaped into a unique trophy printed on a 3D Printer in Prusa 3D/Prusa Lab in Prague.
“I really appreciate such trophy. I did not expect anything like that, it was a shock. When Is aw it for the first time, I was moved. Hats off to all the people who created it. It is really heavy and I don`t know how I fit it into the plane, but I love every part of it,” Peter said after the 4-0 win over Slovácko in the last game of the season.
