Ahead of the Nigeria Premier Football League Super Six playoffs, Daniel Ogunmodede, the
head coach of Remo Stars, has conveyed his team’s preparedness.
The highly anticipated competition is set to kick off this weekend in Lagos.
All matches of the tournament will take place at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan,
Lagos.
Remo Stars will enter the fray alongside Enyimba, Bendel Insurance, Rivers United,
Sunshine Stars, and Lobi Stars, all vying for honors in the competition that will determine the winner of the 2022/23 NPFL season.
Expressing his team’s ambitions, Ogunmodede asserted that Remo Stars’ sole objective is
to emerge victorious in the NPFL Super Six.
Speaking to the club’s media, the young tactician declared, “We are heading to Lagos with determination to battle and secure the win against all the teams. We are fully prepared.”
Meanwhile, The Interim Management Committee (IMC), which is charged with the responsibility of organizing the 2022/23 the Abridged Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has struck a deal to put all matches in the upcoming Super Six in Lagos on television.
The deal with Supersport a stable of Multichoice, an South Africa-based cable satellite television giants, is the latest heartwarming news coming from the IMC, which has in less than 12 months done a lot to revive the fortunes of the once moribund league.
Bendel Insurance of Benin, Remo Stars of Ikenne, Enyimba of Aba from Group A; and the Pool B trio of Rivers United (the holders), Lobi Stars of Makurdi, and Sunshine Stars of Akure are the six teams to feature at the Super Six; from July 3rd, 2023 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, in Onikan Lagos.
