Tosan Blankson, head coach of Delta Queens has conceded that he is to be blamed for the team’s Federation Cup quarter final loss against Rivers Angels after the game ended in a draw.

The match ended 1-1 in regulation time which automatically takes the game to a penalty shoot out in Aba but the NWFL title favorite lost to end a blistering unbeaten run in the league yesterday.
Reacting to the defeat coach Tosan Blankson praised his team for their performance despite being wasteful – “the girls played according to instructions and they had opportunities to have wrapped up the game in the first half but they didn’t.”
“They also had opportunities to finish the game in the second half but they did not, it’s just what it is.”
“Sometimes in football, not every chances is being converted. They had their chances but they couldn’t convert them I won’t fault them because they gave their best, I take full responsibility for the defeat today,” Tosan admitted.
Following this loss, Delta Queens will now shit attention to the NWFL Super Six which will kickoff from the 9th of June in Asaba.
