Okaka Football Club have emerged the champions of the just concluded Lagos Divisional Football League season final after defeating its opponents, HOM through penalty shootout.
Okaka defeated HOM 4-3 after one goal apiece at the regulation time. The pulsating tie held on Tuesday morning at the legacy pitch of the national stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
With this victory, Okaka would represent the division in the forthcoming Ekofootball League.
Okaka FC Head Coach, Adedeji Da-Silva expressed delight that his team emerged as champions of divison and promised to do well in Ekofootball league.
He particularly commended his players performance and urged to remain focused in the forthcoming eko football league.
Chairman, Lagos Island Divisional Football Association, Akintunde Tinubu also commended participating teams for their commitment throughout the league and noted that the league had recorded huge success in terms of club participation, fans attendance, officiating and organiZation.
Meanwhile 16 teams participated in the LDFA league which kicked off some weeks ago at Eko Club football pitch.
