The substitute after coming on for injured Onoja wasted no time to stake his claim in the starting XI with two quick fire goals as First Bank FC continued a perfect record to condemn Sporting Lagos FA to their fourth loss of the season.

Speaking right after the game in sheer excitement in an exclusive post match interview with Sports247.ng, Saheed admitted that he feel indebted to the team and he’s happy to get on the score sheet.

“This makes me feel so good because I have been looking for a goal of my own since the season began, this is four games for us and if feels so memorable to get on the scoring sheet and help the team, Saheed said.”

“The project for us is to go to the very end and get the NNL ticket, so I appreciate my teammates for the assist, we are a team and we work as one, so it’s not an individual effort.”

On if it would have been if the coach had started him – “I don’t fault the coach for not starting me and that’s solely his decision, we all train together for a sole purpose and it’s up to the coach to pick whoever he deemed fit to start and those who will be on the bench.”

“We want to do more in subsequent games and build on this win and hopefully, I keep my goalscoring run.”

First Bank FC have now won three games in four, and drawn one and will hope to continue thier perfect start when they come up against Valiant FC on matchday five (5).
