NorthWest Coach, Rabiu Baita boasting in the euphoria of his side 2-0 victory against South East to emerge third best team in the NAFF Zonal Amputee Football Championship has stated that they deserved more but wining this isn’t bad of an outing.
The third-place match between Team Northwest and Team South East ended 2-0 in favor of Northwest at the Surulere Legacy Pitch yesterday to win bronze.
Sports247.ng caught up with Coach Rabiu Baita, the former Nigerian National team player and Coach of Team Northwest.
An excited coach Rabiu felt the team professionally earned that win.
Speaking professionally, he said “We have consistently played at a higher level than the other team and possess superior talent, thus we deservedly won.”
Team Northwest won all their matches and unfortunately lost to North Central in the semi-finals.
Coach Rabiu stated ; “We were not supposed to lose that match as we had thoroughly outperformed our opponents throughout the competition”.
“Securing a 2-0 victory was the culmination of the team’s collective efforts and well-merited triumph. The players should feel just pride in the determination and teamwork they demonstrated out there today.”
