North West captain, Emmanuel Bethel is not backing down on his team showing maximum believe in his side’s abilities in the ongoing Nigeria Amputee Football Federation zonal championship at the Surulere Legacy Pitch stadium following their 3-0 win against South-East.
North West put three past South East scoring all three goals in the first half and could have scored more if they were more clinical in the second half.
Speaking exclusively to Sports247.ng after the game, Bethel revealed that his side had little or no time to prepare fully due to the time of travel to make it to Lagos.
“NAFF has done well with this wonderful privilege, this is the first of it’s kind in Nigeria and we want to thank them for hosting and we hope that it continues every year.”
“We didn’t have time to prepare at a full level because of the time of travel, everything was within a short period for us but we made sure we get our organization right.”
On his responsibility, “as a captain, I make sure that every players are fit and in the right place of mind for the game and by God’s grace, we want to go down to the very end and win this championship.”
On Nigeria’s chances in the proposed World Cup games, he said that everything is preparation and organization and if we get it right in the level of preparedness, we stand a chance to go far in the competition,” he assured.
