Despite losing to Sunshine Stars this weekend on Group B matchday 15 of 18, Lobi Stars coach Mohammed Babaganaru has hailed his players for their sacrifices.
The Makurdi-based club lost away 1-0 away from home with Daniel Onovo’s lone strike in the 22nd minute at Akure Sports Complex in Ekiti.
Babaganaru said the performance of the players is an improvement from their last outing in Yenegoa.
“We worked with the players after our game against Bayelsa United last week,” he said in a post-match interview
“They responded well to every detail we told them in training and am satisfied with that.”
Lobi Stars remain top of the Group B table with three matches left to the end of the season.
