Too flight international referees are part of the arbiters drafted by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF Referees Committee, for the Week 15 matches of the Nigeria league.
In the explosive encounter in Aba; Enyimba vs Remo Stars, a notable name on the list of FIFA badged referees of Nigeria extraction, Dr Joseph Ogabor will lead other international Assistant Referees in the person of Celestine Egudia Efosa of Edo and Katsina’s Ahmad M. for the encounter where a retired FIFA referee and CAF trained Instructor who is also the Director of Sports in Yobe State, Dr Ago Abubakar is the Assessor.
In the interesting war of North Central brothers involving Plateau United and Nassarwa United in Job, a CAF trained Technical Instructor and newly elected Chairman of Cross River State Referees Council, Barr Cecilia Ugbuji will be on the stands to observe the officiating style of FIFA woman referee of Enugu Council, Ndidi Madu, alongside two of the best hands on the lines the country can boast to the world as Assistant Referees; FIFAs Samuel Pwadutakam of Adamawa and Hope Igho of Lagos. The trio have been part of CAF and FIFA tournaments in recent times and expected to use the game to showcase the refereeing expertise that makes them the best among equals.
Players of Akwa United and Kwara United will this weekend at the Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, confine themselves to the whistle dictates of FIFA Grema Mohammed who is also the Borno State Referees Council Secretary. He will be accompanied by a former FIFA Assistant referee, Isah Usman and Futsal Soccer FIFA Referee, Bello Alhasaan. A retired woman FIFA referee and new Chairman of Ondo Council, Bola Sekitiri is the Assessor.
It’s is also another squad of international referees in Akure as Lobi Stars of Markurdi visit home lads, Sunshine Stars. Armed with the wherewithal to control the game is Nurudeen Abubakar of Bauchi who will be supported on the lines by Digbori Tejiri and Mfom Friday Akpan of Delta and Akwa Ibom states respectively. Promise Uwaeme, a CAF trained video technician and Assessor will monitor the operations of the officiating crew.
