The Lagos State Sports Commission (LSSC), in partnership with Sports Global Ambassador Initiatives for Youth Development and Conflict Resolution, has celebrated the 2023 edition of the International Day of Sports for Development and Peace (IDSDP) with a three-day sports competition for students from 14 Junior and Senior Secondary Schools (both Private and Public) across the Six Education Districts in the State.
Executive Chairman, Lagos State Sports Commission, Sola Aiyepeku, in his address at the commencement of the event held at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, said this year’s event was designed to encourage the youth to get more involved in sports activities because of the inherent benefits as well as bridging the gap between Public and Private Schools.
