Ahead of the match day four of the Nigeria National League (NNL), Madiba FC have expressed readiness to get maximum three points as they face one of their Lagos counterparts Ikorodu City FC at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan on Friday, April 7.
The Solomon Bala boys currently sit at the top of the Southern Conference Group B2 with five points from three games.
The journey into the league this season has not been a stroll in the pack for the ‘Oshodi boys’ who were crowned champion of the Nation-Wide League One, NLO last year to gain promotion into the Second tier league.
They tested the water of the League against NNL ‘Landlord’ Ekiti United whose claws were clipped after they thrashed them 3-1 to earn their first win in the League at home.
The Second League saw the Oshodi Boys travelled to Sagamu against FC Ebedie which ended 1-1.
The third match into their campaign witnessed a ‘storm’ in a keenly contested match against Abeokuta Stormers in Lagos.
Speaking ahead of the Lagos Derby, Madiba captain, Rabiu Nurudeen assured that his team will soar high against their opponent.
“I know the match is going to be though but what I believe is that we Madiba boys we are going to come out victoriously. We are set and ready,” he said.
