Divine Praise assistant coach, Dominic Onyechi can’t contain his excitement over his team’s hard fought first league win against G12 as he lauds his players effort for putting up such a good shift.
The 2-1 win in favor of Divine Praise FC means that that’s the first victory in the second round of the league since the resumption of the Fusion Football Championship.
“I feel very happy, first of all, I must thank God because it’s God’s doing, I don’t know how to express how I feel, I just want to give it back to God,” Dominic said after the game in an exclusive interview with Sports247.ng.
Trailing by a goal at the end of the first half after missing a penalty kick, they came back to record a thrilling 2-1 victory.
“We really didn’t start well and when the penalty came, we lost it but we know the team we have.”
“We have a good bench and that didn’t weigh on us hence why the boys had to put in that great shift to win the match and from the substitutions, we got the victory.”
