The Nigeria Cricket Federation has announced the finals list of the Women’s senior team ahead of the international tournament scheduled to take place from the 25th of March to the 3rd of April 2023, in Lagos.
The Senior Women’s team AKA ”Female Yellow Greens” have been camping in Benin for the last 3 weeks in preparation for the 3rd edition of the NCF Women’s T-20 International invitational tournament.
Ahead of the games, the senior Women’s team has been through regimes of intense training to select the final 14 that will be flying the nation’s colors.
The team selected is a blend of youth and experience with a sizable number from the Under-19 girl’s team well represented. The longest-serving player and the most capped for Nigeria Blessing Etim will lead the team as Captain while Favour Esiegbe has been named Vice Captain. Other familiar names in the team include Agatha Uadiale, Esther Sandy, Salome Sunday, and Abigail Igbobie to mention a few.
Young batting sensation Lucky Piety and bowling Prodigy Lillian Ude have also been drafted into the team with peculiar Agboya and Rukayat Abdulrasaq from the Under-19 girl’s team selected as well.

5 countries as expected to participate in this year’s event namely defending champions Rwanda, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Cameroon, and host Nigeria.
The Female Yellow Greens will open their encounter against arch-West Africa rivals Sierra Leone on Monday 27th March by 9:30 am, while the afternoon fixture on the same day will see Ghana battle against Rwanda.
