Smart city chairman, Honourable, Adeboye Anthony Adeyinka, Michael Kaizer (a.k.a, Jaga) has organised a special and befitting victory party for, recently re-elected governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo Olu.
The graciously and colourful event, took place at the Lafiaji area in Lagos island, was well attended by top and well meaning Lagosians.
Adeboye, who said they decided to put together, the victory party for governor Sanwo olu, becuse, he deserved his victory for the good works he has done in the past four years and are very confident, he will do more in his second tenure.
“We decided to put this huge victory party for our governor, because we are very grateful to God for his victory and also wishing the governor, a successful second tenure in office” he said.
He also added that, “The people of Lagos, loves their governor very much, that’s why they came out en- mass to celebrate his victory. We will Continue to give him our necessary support to make sure he succeeds in his reign as Lagos state governor”, he concluded.
It will be recalled that, The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu the winner of the governorship election in Lagos State.
Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, polled a total of 762,134 to defeat first runner-up, Labour Party’s Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour.
The LP candidate secured 312,329 votes, while Abdulazeez Adeniran of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, got 62,449 votes.
The results were announced by the Returning Officer, Prof Adenike Temifayo-Oladiji, Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Technology Akure, FUTA.
