Bendel Insurance forward, Imade Osarenkhoe has dedicated the solitary wining goal against Enyimba to his family, teammates as he lauds head coach, Monday Odigie for his tactical discipline.
With the only and wining game against Enyimba, Imade has now scored six goals in nine matches for Bendel, the highest goal scorer for Monday Odigie’s side.
“I feel very happy, I dedicate this goal to my family and then to my teammates as football is a collective effort. One thing is, if they don’t pass the ball to me, I don’t think I will be able to put the ball in the net,” he said in excitement in his post match interview.
“We had a very good pre-season coupled with the fact that our coach is a tactical disciplinarian who doesn’t take things with levity. So all these makes us work for a particular goal which is to remain in NPFL,” Imade stated of the team’s ultimate goal.
“So far so good, the work of an attacker is to score and I have being able to do that and I hope to keep helping the team by scoring.”
“Enyimba is a big, tactical team, we showed them respect and that was what caused the nervousness in the course of the game but by next game in thier home, we would have worked on our errors and be able to convert our chances.”
On if they can now bear the tag of title favorites;
“For now, the motive still remains to remain in the top flight but as we play, we have a bigger vision now and aiming at the top three, so we are taking it one game at a time by playing each game as a final,” he allayed.
Imade is one goal shy of NPFL too scorer, Enyimba’s Chukuemeka Obioma who has seven goals in nine games so far this season going into the break.
