Technical Adviser of Doma United, Akinade Onigbinde has conceded that his team needs to work on thier goalscoring record in the NPFL 2022/23 campaign following thier 1-1 draw against Bayelsa United.
The newly promoted club has just managed to score three goals in five matches since the season began amassing five points in total, Sports247.ng writes.
Reacting in his post match interview, Akinade praised the officiating team for thier firmness to control the game, “the officiating is very good, the officiating is fine.”
“Actually, we thought we could hold on to that one goal scored in the first half but unfortunately, we couldn’t hold on but it’s still a good game regardless,” he said.
“We worked more on defensive but I told the boys that we need to try and pull out, we are gradually working on goal scoring, so atleast we are getting goals now.”
“Definitely, that defensive pattern is not going to be good but issues here is that we allow them to absorb the pressure so that we can go on counter, that’s exactly what happened to us today,” Akinade explained.
