Niger Tornadoes Technical Adviser, Abubakar Bala Mohammed is faced with an herculean task on how to line up against Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi in this weekend’s NPFL curtain raiser slated for Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi on Sunday.
The Ikon Allah boys who stopped by and held two training sessions in Jos, ahead of the trip to Bauchi, saw the players hit top form, and jostling for places as the team reaches crescendo.
The likes of Shamsudeen Hashim, Waheed Adebayo, Damilola Fagbenle and ‘Junior Int’l’ Munir Idris were delights to watch during the respective training sessions as they barely set any foot wrong.
The highly intensive trainings also saw Jonas Emmanuel and David Okoromi in a blistering form, while Musa Wakili reignited his old form with his precise and pin pointing passes.
At the back, Sunday Akinmoladun, Charles Okafor, Uche Ezeala and Babatude Solomon left no stone unturned in making sure that the technical crew would have to sweat to arrive at the back paring.
Competition in-between the sticks is also heightened as Lucky Abdullahi and George Michael proved decisive in training. The arrival of experienced goalkeeper trainer, Dahiru Dalhatu has seen significant improvement and fierce competition between the duo, especially, Lucky Abdullahi who has been evidently revived due to the nature of training in recent weeks.
Every member of the traveling squad is brimming with confidence ahead of the crucial trip to confront the Yankari Boys in the Match Day One NPFL fixture.
Without any doubt, there is selection dilemma for the coaches and a healthy one for the the team.
