As the Seyi Akinwunmi Charity Foundation Mini-Tournament enters It’s 9th Edition, the Convener and Initiator of the Foundation, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi has reiterated his commitment towards bettering the lives of hundreds of poor kids who can’t afford to pay their school fees and other basic needs.
Over 40 children between 12 and 15 years have in the past eight years remained in school courtesy of the Foundation supporting their education and other related needs.
Akinwunmi, is a highly celebrated Football Administrator and one of Nigeria’s foremost Finance, Insolvency, Debt And Business Recovery Lawyers, who has vast experience in litigation as well as in negotiation, restructuring and documentation of simple, complex syndicated and securitised loans for local and international joint ventures, projects , banks and businesses.
“Putting smiles on people’s faces has been a priority for me. I will go any length in enhancing the less-privileged, especially the kids.
“The joy on the faces of the children is a real driving force for me and for everyone involved in this project.
“At the end of it, many of these kids, are relieved of School fees and their parents are always thankful towards the foundation. The prayers, appreciation is something that makes me fulfilled as a human.
“We are buoyed to even do more. We always look forward to it, every year, as we all have actually keyed into it and it has come to stay.” He concluded.
The Seyi Akinwunmi foundation has also supported more than 200 indigent students in collaboration with the Courage Education Foundation which was also conceived and co-founded by Seyi Akinwunmi over 17 years ago.
This Year’s Edition, which is the ninth one, will take place on Friday, December 23rd at the Mobolaji Johnson Sports Arena, Onikan, Lagos from 10am.
