I Foresee Doomsday In Nigerian Leagues – Olopade

The just resigned Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria National League, (NNL), Bukola Olopade has come out to critically talk about the NNL crises.

Olapade who said playing the Super 8 competition that will produce four teams which will gain promotion to the NPFL is not in anyway the profound solution to the current challenges rocking the Nigerian League as a whole.

Olapade mentioned the LMC has breached an article in statutory regulations by agreeing to prosecute the 2018/19 NPFL season with twenty-four clubs ,instead of the normal twenty stated in the regulatory status.

He said, we have the right to disagree on the NFF decisions passed on the NNL to play the Super 8 by force.

With this, NFF believes that even if the Super 8 is play, the LMC are actually postponing the doomsday in Nigeria football because the problem is not over yet by just playing Super 8.

The former Ogun state commissioner for youth and sports concluded by saying, it is practically wrong and unfair for them not to relegate four clubs from the NPFL, but wants four clubs to join them from the NNL to make the number of the clubs 24 for the new season ahead.
