Folashade Jamilusi was the star performer in FC Robo thrilling away victory against Ibom Angels bagging a brace in her side’s 2-3 scoreline result to get their first league win of the season.
Folashade who scored twice in the first half of the encounter although Ibom Angels fought back but we’re unable to break the resilient Osahon’s led team further admonished the team to keep on with the wining spirit ahead of other league fixtures, Sports247.ng writes.
“I am so happy that we got this win, we didn’t expect what we saw here, no disrespect to the opponent as they gave a good fight against us but a team has to come out top and we are glad we did and got the maximum points,” she said in the pressers after the game.
“An away match is always tough and this isn’t an exception, my teammates gave good account of themselves, put in thier mind in the game because before we left Lagos, we knew we had to get a good result.”
“First win of the league is massive, we have started the win here, we want to continue with the result in next group games going forward.”
FC Robo are in Group B of the 2022/2023 NWFL season which is made up of Nasarawa Amazons, Edo Queens, Ibom Angels, Adamawa Queens, Confluence Queens and Abia Angels.
A Super Six tournament will be used to determine the eventual Champion of the topflight league next year.
