All is set for the 2022 Edition of the Seyi Akinwunmi Charity Foundation Mini-Tournament, which will kick off on Friday, the 23rd of December, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos, by 2pm.
The ‘Seyi Akinwunmi Charity Foundation Mini-Tournament’ is a charity event initiated by the Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) Chairman and former NFF First Vice President, Seyi Akinwunmi.
This year’s event is the ninth edition and a special one, because it is in commemoration with the 60th Birthday celebration of the initiator, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi and tagged ‘The 60 For 60 Edition’.
The event is primarily put together to raise funds for the various charity works the Seyi Akinwunmi Charity Foundation is involved in and a total of Sixty (60) Students will receive Scholarships nationwide on Friday, through the Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi Charity Foundation.
Also, Over one thousand kids are expected to participate at this year’s event slated for the Mobolaji Johnson Sports Arena, Onikan on Friday, December 23.
The Seyi Akinwunmi Charity Foundation (SACF), has over the past eight years enabled over 40 children (aged 12-15 years) remain in school by supporting their education and related needs, while also through their local FA’s highlight and nurture their football skills.
The Foundation has also supported the education of more than 200 indigent intelligent children in collaboration with Courage Education Foundation (CEF) which was also conceived and co-founded by Seyi Akinwunmi over 17 years ago.
