Ihuyase FC, Agbor will on Sunday 18th December tackle Visionaries FC of Ogwashi Uku in the finals of the Second Edition of the Delta North football coaches Council christened Anioma Nations Cup.
Ihuyase defeated high flying Raiders FC 3-1 in the Semi final clash played on Wednesday 14th at the Adiagbo Ground Ogwashi uku while Visionaries FC dispatched Sowers FC 4-3 on penalties after 1-1 draw in regulation time.
The coach Timothy Ujah side will be going into the finals as favorites to win the coveted Trophy after losing out in the Semi finals to Osevan FC in the 2021 Edition.
Meanwhile Visionaries FC have shown much resilience to get to the finals after almost being disqualified from the tournament in the group stage following altercation between their players and the Center Referee in a clash against Alika FC. The coach Victor led side bounced back to defeat Alika FC in the Quarter finals before going on to oust Sowers FC to book their ticket in the finals.
24 teams from the Delta North Senatorial District took part in the tournament which is being organized by the Delta North Football Coaches Council.
The finals will take place at St Patrick’s college Asaba with kick off slated for 2:00pm
