Senior special adviser on Sports to Lagos state governor, Adeboye Anthony Adeyinka, is confident, that the much anticipated Maracana football fiesta, for APC, presidential candidates, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Lagos state governorship aspirant, Babajide Sanwo olu, will produce great stars that will make this country proud in the nearest future.
Adeboye made this statement recently in a press briefing and draws to herald the tournament, which kicksoff on the 6th of December, 2022.
The tournament which is put together by the ever hardworking local government chairman of Ajeromi Ifelodun, local government, honorable, Fatai Adekunle Ayoola, is positioned at mobilising youths to come together as one, to make sure APC win the presidential and governorship tickets, come 2023.
The LOC, chairman, Adeboye, told newsmen that, the tournament, is a valuable one, because it’s of great importance to catch them young and nurture them to world stars.
“I want to say, with full confidence that, this tournament, will be one that, will live in our memories for a long time, because, great players will be discovered from this epic event” he said.
“Any society that will succeed, must make sure the youths are well equipped for the future, that is why, we are mobilising the youths, through football for the coming elections” he added.
“I give kudos to the amiable and hard working chairman of Ajeromi Ifelodun, Hon. Ayoola for his basic principles of decorum and hard he is putting to make sure the youths are well structured for the future”
“It’s not going to be football alone, we will also equip the youths, with basic skills of life that will make them better and useful persons in the society” he concluded.
The tournament, which, will no doubt thrill Lagos fans, has three categories, the 5 asides, 7 asides and the 11 asides, the tournament will run from, on the 6th to 9th of December, at the Maracana and Nathaniel Idowu pitches and a whooping sum of six million naira is up for grabs for winners in the three categories.
