A superb free kick in the 88th minutes from Ridwan Hassan was Eko Boys All Stars needed to subdue MS Success Football Club in the final of Owo Unity Cup held on Wednesday in Lagos.
The encounter which held at Eko Boys High School, Mushin ended 1-0 in favour of Eko Boys All Stars Football Club.
Hassan who scored the late goal was also voted as the most valuable player of the tournament.
In a chat with sports 247.ng, Hassan expressed gratitude to God for his performance in Owo Unity Cup and dedicated the goal and award to his Creator and fans.
Coach of Eko Boys All Stars, Ajala Muyiwa said the game was tough but confessed that they were lucky to have won the game.
Meanwhile the cup donor, Owolabi Badara also thanked God for the success of the competition and promised to sustain the tournament annually.
“I am happy for the organisation and the two finalists for their good display.It was a tough final but the better side won the game.I promise to sustain this tournament as part of my contribution to the growth of grassroots football in Mushin and its environs,”he said.
Match cordinator, Musbau Oseni expressed appreciation to the fans for taking their time and watched all the matches.
He however said the tourney was a huge success and thanked the cup donor for his support of football in Mushin.
