Trabzonspor of Turkey striker, Anthony Nwakaeme has given thanks to God for helping him score his fourth goal in the Turkish Super Lig, as he says it was made possible by ‘the greatest.’
The 29-year-old former Hapoel Be’er Sheva of Israel all-action hitman scored his side’s fourth goal against Caykur Rizespor in the 90th minute, and admitted that he was very happy to net again after a long drought.
Sports247.ng reports that the one-cap Super Eagles’ invitee made hay after fellow-Nigerian striker, Aminu Umar reduced a three-goal deficit for Rizespor at Senol Gunes Stadium.
Abdulkadir Omur scored a brace and Hugo Rodallega bagged the third for Trabzonspor before Aminu’s consolatory goal, but it was Nwakaeme who had the last laugh in his 10th Lig game of the season.
In celebration of the feat, he posted on social media: “Nwakaeme 1 goal, 1 assist. 3 points very important, a perfect performance from the whole team and fans. #GodIsTheGreatest,”
