Spanish giants headcoach, Carlo Ancelotti has pleaded with Real Madrid chief, Florentino Perez to get him Victor Osimhen, Rafael Leao so as to rejuvenate his attack following consistent injuries to Kareem Benzema and failure to sign Kylian Mbappe.
Napoli will look to fend off interest on the in form attacker this season as the Nigerian international has been spearheading thier attack for thier title hunt this season topping Serie A goal chart with eight goals and two assists with a fourteen game unbeaten streak.
French international, Kareem Benzema’s current injury woes have only amplified the issue that Real need to bring in attacking reinforcements, which has seen Ancelotti earmark Leao and Osimhen as priority buys in the winter window, according to Spanish news outlet Sport.
The need for a centre forward comes after Benzema, who recently won the Ballon d’Or, was sidelined with a leg injury and is unlikely to return for Real until after the World Cup.
Despite inconsistency in his fitness this term, Benzema has still managed six goals and an assist in 11 games, but his stop-start campaign so far has made it difficult for him to replicate the form he managed last season.
