Club Brugge of Belgium striker, Dennis Bonaventure shook off a recent bout with injury to return to goals scoring form, while Tammy Abraham continue his haul with Aston Villa of England.
In Belgium’s top-flight league, Bonaventure struck twice to help Brugge move up to just four points behind leaders, Racing Genk, following their 5-1 win against Royal Antwerp.
Bonaventure opened the scoring for the home team in the 20th minute and made it 4-0 after 19 minutes in the second half, thereby taking his latest scorecard to three goals in his last three games in the league.
In England, Tammy continued his brilliant form in the EFL Championship by scoring his 13th goal of the season.
Tammy has registered his name on the score-sheet nine times in his last eight appearances in the Championship, more than any other player in the top four divisions in England.
However, his personal form fell flat on the team level, as Aston Villa let slip a two-goal lead to lose 3-2 to visiting Leeds United at Villa Park.
Tammy gave Villa the lead after five minutes and Conor Hourihane doubled the advantage on 17 minutes, but the visitors got the win after Kemar Roofe scored in the 90th minute.
