Gara Gombe Blasts Nigerian Clubs Owners Association Hypocrisy For Concealing Problems In The Nigerian League Following Meeting With New NFF Board, Lauds Communique Sincerity

With a new dawn on the newly elected Nigerian Football Federation Board led by able Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, Former Chairman of Gombe Football Association, Alhaji Ahmed Shuaibu Gara Gombe following past distraught, failures of the past administration and hypocrisy of the club owners has blasted thier actions in concealing the truth.

The meeting was followed by a communique which Gombe admitted that this is the very first time there will be sincerity, openness, courage and total desire to point out problems of Nigeria football, Sports247.ng reports.

“My problem is why now?, the same club owners with some of them my close friends and I have been talking to them privately and collectively on issues regarding the Nigerian league which to some extent I said they are not club owners but club representatives because none of them owns a club,” he posited.

“With due respect and due sense of responsibility, all this problems, the outcome of the meeting, is it that they are just waking up or in that meeting, there’s a kind of tea or coffee or food they are served that really reawakened thier memory to come up with such a powerful, transparent and honest situation of the Nigerian League,” Gara queried.

“Elsewhere, the outcome was defined as self indicting, that’s the summary of it, indicting oneself, but it’s good, you can stand before a judge in the court of law and plead guilty just so that the judge can reason with you and be very considerate.”

“Now that they have indicted themselves, they have accepted that all these problems exists and yet year in and out they cooperate with the same people they are indicting.”

“But it’s good they are waking up and I thank them for thier courage. Now what’s next?”

Gara Gombe further advised that a blueprint of administration and plans be properly drawn out and people guilty of past failures be called out and punished.
