The young yellow greens of Nigeria have opened their International Cricket Council U19 World Cup Africa Division 2 qualifiers with a win against Rwanda.
The game which was played at the Cricket Oval of the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja, had Rwanda win the toss and elected to bat first.
After 24.3 overs, 147 good balls bowled, Rwanda scored 41 runs to the loss of 10 wickets and Nigeria had to chase 42 runs to win the game.
In the end, it was a landslide as Nigeria lost no wicket. The combination of …….. started and finished the game, scoring 42 runs in just 8.2 overs, 50 good balls and as such, Nigeria won by 10 wickets.
In other games, Kenya recorded a massive win over Rwanda, electing to bat first after winning the toss. Kenya scored 346 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 45 overs. Rwanda however, only managed 31 runs, losing 9 wickets in 14.5 overs as Kenya won by 286 runs.
