Peter Olayinka has reacted after he made history with Slavia Praha on Thursday night in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
Olayinka scored one and assisted another to help Slavia Praha defeat FC Ballkani 3-2 at home in their Group G game.
Olayinka’s goal was his 13th in all European competitions for Slavia, making him the club’s all-time top scorer in European competitions.
Olayinka has taken to social media to express his delight with the feat. The Nigerian international said about the record:
“I’m really happy about it. It is a great honour to be Slavia’s top scorer in the European Cups.
“I am in Slavia and I am very grateful that I was able to do something like this. Thanks to everybody, I couldn’t have done it without them.”
Olayinka has two goals in two Conference League appearances for Slavia Prague this season. The Red and Whites sit top of Group G with a perfect record.
Olayinka joined Slavia in 2018 from K.A.A Gent. The 26-year-old has made over 150 appearances for the Czech giants, scoring 36 goals and assisting on 21 occasions. He has won three Czech league titles and two Czech cups with Slavia.
